"His playing is stunning" Mojo

"A Legend" Rolling Stone

"One of rocks' most original guitarists" The New York Times

'Sound at the Spitz' brings Gary Lucas to the intimate setting of the Spitz for a one-off UK gig.

Gary's work as a live performer has consistently drawn great critical and audience response, going back to his earliest days with the legendary Captain Beefheart and the Magic Band.

Gary will be joined on one number by Larry Love and the Very Reverend Dr D Wayne Love of the Alabama 3 (of recent 'Soprano's' fame) for what is sure be a sell-out performance.

For this concert Gary will play both acoustic and electric guitar and perform music from his latest albums "The Edge of Heaven" (Chinese pop from the 30's) and "Operators are Standing By" (a compilation of older work), music by Captain Beefheart, Percy Grainger and Richard Wagner plus his own originals.
