Gary Featured on Upcoming Beefheart Box

"Grow Fins", the upcoming 5 CD Captain Beefheart Box Set on John Fahey's Revenant label containing rarities and live tracks, includes 3 cuts featuring Gary playing the music of Don Van Vliet.

He can be heard in solo guitar mode essaying an early runthrough of "Evening Bell" from the Ice Cream for Crow album; live at the Beacon Theater in NYC 1980 performing "Flavour Bud Living" from Doc at the Radar Station; and live at the Venue in London in 1980 playing bass on "Making Love to a Vampire with a Monkey on My Knee" (also from Doc).

The box, with extensive liner notes by former Magic Band drummer John French and Rolling Stone senior editor David Fricke, is scheduled for release worldwide mid-May.
