A fantastic photographer and a good friend and mentor of Gary's, he took several photos of Gary early in his career, including this stark black and white shot that ran in Melody Maker on 2/11/91 in the New Faces section (with a rave text by Rolling Stone's David Fricke), and this colour shot from a 1991 Guitar Player profile of Gary

An audio recording of Gary's short story "Me and the Golem" read by Steven Beeber with original music by Gary Lucas was just accepted by the Whitney Biennial for their current Neighborhood Public Radio exhibition, and can be heard as a live broadcast from the Whitney Museum tomorrow (Thursday) between 5-6pm EST here, and it will be permanently archived here—the story originally appeared in Steve's anthology "AWAKE! A Reader for the Sleepless" (Soft Skull Press)
