Gary Scores for Showtime
Gary is hard at work on a new score for the upcoming Showtime documentary
"Trust Me", directed by Rob Fruchtman, whose last film "Sister Helen"
won
the Sundance Film Festival's 2002 Directing Award.
"Trust Me" concerns an
interfaith summer camp in North Carolina which brings Christian, Jewish
and Muslim kids together, a camp created in the shadow of September 11th
to promote a spirit of peace and cooperation throughout the world. In the
humanitarian tradition of Maysles Films' "Lalee's Kin", which since its
television premiere last September and subsequent HBO re-broadcasts has
generated numerous email requests to Gary from all over the country
complimenting his music and asking for a copy of his score, Gary is proud
to be working on such a high quality and beautiful film.
"Trust Me", with additional music by Art LaBriola, will receive its broadcast premiere in
May 2003.
